About Me

I’m a Vancouver-based multimedia journalist and avowed music fanatic whose work has appeared on radio, television and in print.

I began my career as a reporter and current affairs producer with CBC Radio. These days, I work in television as a story editor and story producer for production companies such as Lark Productions, Paperny Entertainment, Worldwide Bag Media and Force Four Entertainment. You can view my television credits on the Internet Movie Database.

In addition to my broadcast work, I am also a music critic and contributing writer for prairie dog, Regina’s news, arts and entertainment magazine.

I’ve conducted hundreds of interviews in my career and though the formats vary, the connective tissue is this: I love meeting interesting people and telling stories about them.

If there’s something (or somebody) on the pop culture scene that you think I should know about, feel free to drop me a line. I can’t promise I’ll cover it, but I *do* appreciate feedback and suggestions. Contact me at:

  1. It’s incredibly refreshing to read a music blog written by someone who can actually write well.

I’m going to check-out Mastodon, based on your review. Thank-you.

    Keep it coming!

    • Awww, thanks Patrick! I really enjoy doing this, so it’s cool to know that people are responding positively to my work.

Anyway, I’m sure you’ll get a kick out of Mastodon. I had sort of lost interest in the metal and hard rock genres in recent years (nothing really grabbed me), so I was surprised by how much I loved Crack the Skye. You’ll have to let me know what you think!

  2. for a self avowed “music nerd” this is well written and I look forward to further discourse. Hopefully you can reach back into the “vaults” and do some posts on retro classics that may have influenced your ear…Is not Led Zeppelin I the best ever intial release by a rock group never?? I challenge you to deem one better!

p.s. last name is mere coincidence

  3. Looks like lots of great reading here! I was hoping your audience might be interested in our new concert series here in Victoria. Our VCM Presents – Conservatory Concert Series has six amazing performances beginning Oct 16th with the Cecelia String Quartet . I’ve linked my signature to the relevant info should you consider sharing. All the best,
